This is a reminder to all parents/carers both new and existing for the Friends of Brookside (FoB) annual general meeting to be held on
Tuesday 24th September at 7.00pm followed by the first FoB meeting of the school year. The AGM reflects on the previous year’s work and new officers are elected. It is very important that people attend to ensure that any decisions made are valid.
This year in particular is going to be bringing significant changes within the existing committee team and having had such a fantastic year it is vital that FoB continues to build on this success by providing events for the whole school community as well as raising much needed funds. There is plenty of fun along the way and any time you could give towards supporting the FoB would be gratefully received. Please come along and find out a little more about the FoB, everyone is always very welcome.
Whether you have been with the school for some time or have little ones in the Childrens Centre or in Early Years, it's time to get involved! Friends of Brookside is a charity, established purely to enhance the educational experience of our children. We run fun events such as Barn Dances, Pamper Evenings, Cake sales, Easter events, Summer/Christmas fairs and many more.
These raise funds to subsidise various activities organised by the school. Regular contributions are made to schools trips, equipment and even the school crossing staff. Larger 'one-off' projects include the landscaping at the rear of the school and the new school Minibus.
You can find more information at the bottom of this page. If you want to offer your time, however little, please contact a committee member (see 'Meet the Committee' below), come to the next meeting or join and post on our Facebook group!
